Population and Development Review Population and Development Review is a peer-reviewed international quarterly that seeks to advance knowledge of the interrelationships between population and socioeconomic development and provides a forum for discussion of related issues of public policy.

PDR Supplements


Studies in Family Planning Studies in Family Planning is a peer-reviewed international quarterly concerned with all aspects of reproductive health, fertility regulation, and family planning programs in both developing and developed countries.

Poverty, Gender, and Youth Working Papers Poverty, Gender, and Youth Working Papers continue the tradition of excellent scholarship of the Policy Research Division series. This new series presents results of Council research on such topics as gender and family dynamics, fertility and reproductive behavior, policy development, transitions to adulthood, and urban poverty and health.

Population Briefs Population Briefs, the Population Council's research newsletter, is published three times a year. Findings summarized in the newsletter are drawn from peer-reviewed, published research.

Momentum Momentum, published twice a year, highlights Population Council news, research, and institutional activities in the fields of biomedicine, public health, and social science.

The Frontiers in Reproductive Health (FRONTIERS) program conducts research aimed at improving the delivery of family planning and reproductive health services in developing countries—with a focus on operations research. FRONTIERS publishes research summaries, reports, and books.

The Horizons program conducts global operations research to improve HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care, and support programs. Horizons publications and resources include research summaries, reports, tools, and manuals.

Quality/Calidad/Qualité Quality/Calidad/Qualité is a series that highlights examples of clinical and educational programs that bring a strong commitment and innovative approaches to the issue of high-quality care in sexual and reproductive health.

SEEDS SEEDS presents innovative and practical program ideas to address the economic roles and needs of low-income women. Projects described in the series strengthen women's productive roles and help integrate women into the social and economic sectors of development.

Policy Research Division Working Papers Policy Research Division Working Papers present results of Council research on aging, the environment, gender and family dynamics, fertility and reproductive behavior, policy development, transitions to adulthood, and urban poverty and health.
